"When you go to sleep,,, there is a process. The physiology of your body is used to this process. The cells of your brain... are programmed for this. When you do this forcefully - which doing it consciously awake is forcing it - there is a strong chance that you damage the cells of your brain because you are not allowing your body to take on the changes of the physical that is necessary for you to leave gracefully, should I say...
When you leave your body in sleep, the whole mechanism of your body slows down. Know you what hibernation be? Ah, when you sleep it is the same thing. Your body goes into a soft, rhythmic flow. Your heartbeat slows. The circulation slows. Everything slows down. It is in a state of suspended animation, as it were. But when you force yourself out of your physical body while ... all of its vibrations are flowing, it is a shock and it is not a good thing to do."
